About Atrium

Atrium is an inn at the head of the valley, built against the cliff in 1908 and run by the same family since. Eleven rooms, one kitchen, a stove in the lounge, and the lake walk from the door.

The rooms

Eleven, no two alike. Every one but two faces the valley; the two that do not face the peak, and they are the ones people ask for. Room 4 has no television, and the others are following.

The kitchen

Jonas cooks what the valley grows: bread from the village oven, butter from the farm below, trout from the river on Tuesdays, and whatever the orchard has done that year. Breakfast until eleven, because of the lake.

This journal

Where we write about the walks, the rooms, the kitchen and the seasons as they actually arrive. One post a week, on Mondays, when the rooms are quiet.

Getting here

The bus from the station stops in the village square four times a day. Tell us which one you are on and we will meet it.
